Baby updates

Time really flies.. I'm slowly adjusting to being a new mum. The first week was a total mess. Not enough sleep + Have to handle new baby = Disaster & No time. haha.. But as the saying goes 'practise make perfect', it's getting better day by day. I even have the time to blog now. Even though it's now 2am in the night. haha. Now I'm living in US timing. Sleep in the day and wake up in the night. Night duties are xiong man! haha.

My girl is now 3 weeks old. Going to celebrate her 'man yue' this Saturday. Hopefully everything goes smoothly. It's going to be a busy busy day.

Baby's out!

Time really flies. My baby girl is out from my tummy! After my last update at 30 weeks, I'm too busy to update my blog. (too lazy I mean) Lol!

Time really flies! Only left 10 weeks before my baby comes out. So scary.. I can feel baby's kick more frequent now. She keep moving and kicking. Sometimes she will 'pop' one hand or leg or butt out making me feel uncomfortable.Then I have to sing '10 little Indians' song for her and she will move away. Lol!

I went for my gynae check up on Tuesday, 10 July. This time baby did not let us see her face. She was lying face down. We could only see her spine. And daddy forgot to get the pictures from the doctor. -.-''' Anyway, the pax confirmed baby is a Girl! She showed me the girl part, but I don't know how to see. hahaha. Baby's weight and size is normal. I still scare she's overweight. She weighs 1.78kg now. And I weigh 60.3kg now. So fat now. The pax advise me not to eat too much durians as durians are heaty and baby might grow too big later. Hard to give birth. She ask me to drink more coconut juice or raspberry juice. Anyway, baby is already in the downward position. All ready to come out. But the pax say she might change position or move these few weeks. No wonder I keep feeling her kick my stomach!

Initially Li Li yiyi bought a pair of super nice and cute shoe for baobei. But grandma keep nagging say haven't 1 year old cannot wear shoe. So mummy have no choice but to change it into socks for you. Really feel sorry about it to Li Li yiyi.

Nights out with the ladies!

We had our monthly nuaing session again in June. But this time we only met up for dinner and dessert coz wei is having her exams. (*Wei, good luck and all the best in your exam!)

We went for dinner at The King Louis at Vivocity. They are having promotion now. 3 main courses for the price of 2. UOB card members enjoy a 1 for 1 King ribs.

Baby at Week 26

I went for my gynae check up on 11 Jun (week 26). It was a fast fast chop chop thing. I was late and went for the usual weight and blood pressure measurement followed by urine test. Everything was normal. When I came out of the toilet, the nurse was already calling my name! That's like super fast! And dear was still parking his car in the carpark. So I entered the room and told the doctor to wait for him to come before she scan the baby. Imagine he came and the scan was over. I think he would be soooo disappointed! haha.
Anyway, he came and this was what we got!

Baby at 26 weeks

Did you notice it? OMG! It's so prominent that when I saw it, the first thing was laughing out loud! hahaha! Baby's lips are super thick! Just like mummy and daddy! hahaha... Future Angelina Jolie! I must find a bf like Brad Pitt for her! Lol! I told dear I'm aiming baby's lips! hahaha. I'm going to be the first to kiss her lips when she come out! hahahahaha.. I sent the photo to lotsa ppl and their first expressions are all the same! hahaha! Gynae's measure baby's weight and say it's normal. Around 1kg. But I went to baby center and check week 26 baby's weight should be only about 700g. That means my baby is overweight? Seriously I don't know, since doctor say it's normal then it's normal lo. But before I went for my checkup, I ate a whole durian one week earlier. Lol! That must be the reason baby is overweight! haha.

Super yummy and delicious durian bought by my dad! I finished the whole thing! See the seeds! All by myself! haha!

My tummy looks like a big round ball that night! haha. It seems to have grown bigger again. I wonder how big I will look at the end of the 9 months! And I'm getting super fat, keep sweating like nobody business. I told myself I would not be fat in the future, it's really a torture! I walk real slow, like an old lady now. hahaha.

My next gynae visit is on 10 July. Another 3 more weeks to see my baobei, wonder how big she will grow this time. *Psst, I don't dare to eat durian le. hahaha.

Belated Birthday Post

I've been so lazy recently. Saved all the pictures in my computer but didn't blog about it. haha. After 3 weeks have past, I've decided to blog about my birthday celebration. hahaha.

My husband's family gave me a birthday surprise exactly at 12.00am on 26 May 2012. haha.They took out a cake and a flower from nowhere and started singing b'day song for me! I was so touched and happy!

The next day, I had already arranged for a BBQ birthday party with my besties! They reached my house around 6pm and we started to set up the fire for BBQ. Although the weather was hot that day but we had great fun and good food! We were too hungry and too focus on eating that I forgot to take photos of the BBQ food. Lol!

Wedding at St Regis Hotel

I just attended a primary school mate's wedding lunch at St Regis Hotel on 12 May. This is my first time going to a 6 star hotel! I was abit shocked when the presentation of the food were served. It was fine dining style. Totally different from the numerous wedding lunch and dinner I had been to. Everybody was busy taking photos of the venue and the food! Lol!

Ladies Gathering

Arranged a meet-up with my besties on 14 May (mon afternoon). We all applied for half day PM leave and went for lunch, high-tea and dinner! It was so much fun! hahaa.

We went to Tung Lok at Vivocity for dim sum! The dim sum was nice, but I forgot to take photos. My bestie bought along her son, little cute Ashton! We had great fun playing with him. hehe.

We went to shop around a little bit and went for high-tea at a cake shop (forgot the name). haha. But I took photos this time round.

I love you and appreciate the things you have done for me. *muack* Thanks for reading bedtime stories to our little baobei every night. She loves to listen to you. Every time you are going to read to her, she would kick my tummy. hehe. And I think that gives you the motivation to read to her every night even though you are so tired. I'm so proud of you. Love you!

Dinner with dear

I was having dinner with dear at Bugis the other day. Forgot the shop name, but it was a very famous shop selling fish soup beehoon. We waited for 20 minutes before we got seats. Super long queue although it was already 8 plus. We ordered curry fish head and salted egg pork ribs as usual. haha. We simply love the curry! It's the best fish head curry I've eaten so far! The sauce is thick and spicy! Only one word to describe 'SHIOK!' hahahaha. As I'm typing this post, I'm thinking of the curry and salivating. Lol! Pictures say more than words! Check it out below!

5 month detail scan

I went for my 5th month detail scan on 7 May (Mon). The scan took 1 and half hours to complete. I almost fall asleep on the bed. hahaha. Everything is normal for baby and me. hehe. Now the most exciting part. Guess the gender of the baby. haha. Unfortunately baby close leg again. But the pax who help me to scan said 70 - 80% is a girl. Lol! The nurse ask me not to buy too many baby clothes, next scan then double confirm again. hahaha.

Halfway through the scan, baby move. The next moment we saw one whole row of skeleton. I thought what was that! It turned out to be baby's spine. It was our first time seeing another version of baby. Suddenly I was so excited. Lol! Turns out that baby was flipping inside my tummy. So funny. Since baby is now facing downwards, the legs are close together like baby's snorkeling under the water. hahaha. So the pax who help me to scan couldn't see baby's gender. So she wasn't so confirm about the gender but told us 70-80% might be a girl. haha.

Does it look big? I feel like I'm so fat all of a sudden. Like I suddenly balloon up. And the new clothes that I have bought all feel abit tight. Haiz. Going to waste money to buy bigger clothes again. So fast. And I still thought these new clothes can last me till I start my 3rd trimester. Who knows 5 month only already abit tight.

These few days I can feel baby move or kick or flip inside me. Think baby is doing somersault inside my tummy. Lol! The feel is much stronger today. haha. Don't is it coz I'm too hungry in the morning. Normally I only feel at night, but now I keep feeling it. hahaha.

My next gynae appointment is 11 Jun (5 weeks from now). Another 5 more weeks to see my baobei. hehe.

Haha, after seeing all these photos, have you guess what's it all about? It's not me inside my mum's tummy.

Yes, that's right! It's me! I'm pregnant! hahaha.. And I'm now 20 weeks, going for my 5th month detail scan on 7 May (Mon). Hopefully baby won't cross leg and let me see if it's a boy or gal. haha.. I'll update next week and post the scan photos. hehe.

I've had my first leg cramp on 28 April. I was sleeping soundly on my left side when I tried to turn to sleep on my back. Suddenly I felt a sharp pain and the next moment I knew, I was shouting in pain. My husband jumped up in shock beside me and ask me what's wrong. I only said 'PAIN, PAIN'. And he was massaging my leg for me. Immediately, I felt so much better. But after that, I was crying. haha. so lame.I think the sharp pain is too much for me to bear. haha. The next day, I was experiencing muscle ache like I have ran 10km. So pain, and I was limping in the morning after I woke up. Terrible! Hopefully the next cramp won't come so fast. Lol!

Last night I realize my feet was swollen! OMG! So fast my feet swollen! Immediately, I took out my extra pillow and stack my leg on it. Luckily, in the morning my feet went back to it's almost original size. haha. So scary sia! Other pregnant woman only got swollen feet in their 3rd trimester. Me too fast.. I cannot take it! hahahaha.

I think I can feel my baby moving inside or kicking me. But I'm not sure if it's the baby moving or just my muscle contracting. Lol! Wait for a few more weeks to confirm. hahahaha...
